TREND ON TIKTOK |
||
|
Good morning all, I want to bring to your attention a concerning situation that has recently come to the attention of the Police regarding a disturbing trend on TikTok. This trend is encouraging children to engage in violent behaviour, specifically targeting peers from other schools. All high schools in Cardiff have been divided into two groups, identified as red and blue. Students, particularly those in year 9, 10, and 11, are being urged to attack classmates from the opposing group. This phenomenon not only promotes violence but also encourages the use of weapons, with the idea that the more severe the attack, the more points the participants can earn. In light of this situation, I kindly ask all parents and guardians with children attending any high school in Cardiff to have a serious conversation with them about the dangers of engaging in such behaviour. It is crucial that we collectively emphasise the importance of kindness, respect, and understanding among peers, rather than succumbing to peer pressure and violence. Furthermore, if anyone has any information related to this concerning trend, I strongly encourage you to come forward. You can share any details with me directly or report them to 101. Together, we can help ensure the safety and well-being of our children and our community. Thank you for your attention and support on this matter.
